Many of the most luxurious homes in the Greater Vancouver region can be found in Vancouver’s West Side. There are small bungalows, condominium complexes, and beautiful multimillion dollar estates on the waterfront or cozy single-family homes with lush backyard gardens. There are older homes on the west side that are quite popular with homebuyers. They are in demand and sought after due to their centralized location.

There are several diverse neighbourhoods that make up Vancouver’s Westside Real Estate; including:

  • Arbutus Ridge – this affluent neighbourhood, filled with stately homes positioned on oversized lots is one of the most prestigious areas in Vancouver’s West Side.

  • Kitsilano – this area currently boasts a population of 40,595 people. The neighborhood is located along the south shore of English Bay between Fairview and West Point Grey.

  • West Point Grey – this neighbourhood is situated with English Bay to the North and, Street to the east. This is one of Canada’s most exclusive neighbourhoods with average housing prices starting well over $2 million.

  • Kerrisdale – this neighbourhood is well known for its assortment of older bungalows and contemporary spacious homes. Its northern section hosts a collection of condominiums and mid-rise rental properties.

  • South Granville – this upscale area is also known as “Uptown” and is flanked by Fairview, Kitsilano and Shaughnessy.


One of the Westside’s chief features is the diversity of customs and traditions that give this collection of neighbourhoods its unique character. The city is a great location for experienced home buyers in search of upscale property.
